The Great Wall at Huang Hua Cheng

The Great Wall at Huang Hua Cheng is a section which is no longer open to the public. Access is through a farmer's property only, and we will usually have the Great Wall to ourselves. Huang Hua Cheng is about about 1.5 hours drive from Beijing, and the trip is combined with sightseeing in Beijing.

It is also possible to combine the trip with a visit to the Mutianyu section. For those of you who would like to experience the sunset/sunrise at the Great Wall, an overnight stay can be arranged.

Hung Hua Cheng & Beijing Sightseeing [full day, 8-10 hours]

Pick-up from your accommodation around 08:30 h (earlier/later if you prefer).
About 1.5 hours drive to Huang Hua Cheng section (depending on traffic). We can stop for breakfast along the way if you like.
Visiting Huang Hua Cheng section for about 2 hours (no cable car access).
Drive back to Beijing.
Sightseeing in Beijing (e.g. Olympic area, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, etc.)
Drop-off at your accommodation around 18:00 h.

If you would like to stay the night at the Great Wall, I can book a newly built cottage (double bed with private shower and Western syle toilet) right at the Huang Hua Cheng section.

The trip to Huang Hua Cheng can also be combined with a visit to the popular Mutianyu section. A lovely and authentic place to stay is Grandmothers' Place at Mutianyu village.
