Western Beijing Full Day Tour [8-10 hours]
Mo Shi Kou & Chuandixia
The village of Mo Shi Kou is located about 1 hour's drive West of Beijing. Sights include the busy Morning Market, Fahai Temple with its stunning murals printed in Ming Dynasty, 30 RMB), as well as the Eunuch Tomb, which only opened to the public recent years (10 RMB).
Chuandixia village (20 RMB) is well known for its well preserved over 600 Ming and Qing dynasty-style houses housed by 70 families. These houses were constructed on the side of a hill, surrounded by mountains and forests. To see these old houses, you have to climb the steep stairs and lanes paved with rocks which are simple and unadorned. Chuandixia was discovered by movie producers a few years ago, and is an ideal place to take pictures!

- Explore Mo Shi Kou for around 3 hours, including a visit to the large Morning Market and Fahai Temple, to see the beautiful murals (printed in Ming Dynasty)
- 1.5 hour drive to Chuandixia.
- Explore the village and take advantage of great photo opportunities.
- If you like we can enjoy lunch with a local family. We can even arrange an stay overnight stay for 100 RMB including food. During weekends or public holidays we need to book in advance.
- 2 hour drive back to Beijing and drop-off at your accommodation.
